Psalm 105:1-6

New International Version

Psalm 105^(A)

¹Give praise to the Lord,^(B) proclaim his name;^(C)
    make known among the nations what he has done.
²Sing to him,^(D) sing praise to him;^(E)
    tell of all his wonderful acts.^(F)
³Glory in his holy name;^(G)
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
⁴Look to the Lord and his strength;
    seek his face^(H) always.

⁵Remember the wonders^(I) he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,^(J)
⁶you his servants, the descendants of Abraham,^(K)
his chosen^(L) ones, the children of Jacob.

Psalm 105:37-45

New International Version

³⁷He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold,^(A)
and from among their tribes no one faltered.
³⁸Egypt was glad when they left,
because dread of Israel^(B) had fallen on them.

³⁹He spread out a cloud^(C) as a covering,
    and a fire to give light at night.^(D)
⁴⁰They asked,^(E) and he brought them quail;^(F)
    he fed them well with the bread of heaven.^(G)
⁴¹He opened the rock,^(H) and water gushed out;
    it flowed like a river in the desert.

⁴²For he remembered his holy promise^(I)
    given to his servant Abraham.
⁴³He brought out his people with rejoicing,^(J)
    his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
⁴⁴he gave them the lands of the nations,^(K)
    and they fell heir to what others had toiled^(L) for—
⁴⁵that they might keep his precepts
    and observe his laws.^(M)

²²On the sixth day, they gathered twice^(A) as much—two omers^[a] for each person—and the leaders of the community^(B) came and reported this to Moses. ²³He said to them, “This is what the Lord commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath^(C) to the Lord. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.’”

²⁴So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. ²⁵“Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a sabbath to the Lord. You will not find any of it on the ground today. ²⁶Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath,^(D) there will not be any.”

²⁷Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. ²⁸Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you^[b] refuse to keep my commands^(E) and my instructions? ²⁹Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” ³⁰So the people rested on the seventh day.

²³Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich^(A) to enter the kingdom of heaven. ²⁴Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

²⁵When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

²⁶Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”^(B)

²⁷Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you!^(C) What then will there be for us?”

²⁸Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,^(D) you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.^(E) ²⁹And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife^[a] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.^(F) ³⁰But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.^(G)
